Analytics — Matomo

This site uses Matomo, a self-hosted open-source analytics platform. All data stays on my server. None of it reaches Google, Meta, or any third party.

What is collected:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• The website or search engine that referred you
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Approximate geographic location (country and city level)

Your full IP address is not stored. It is anonymised immediately upon collection and cannot be used to identify you individually. Because tracking is cookieless, no persistent identifier is stored on your device.

Data retention

All analytics data is automatically purged after 12 months. No data is shared with any third party, including the makers of Matomo.

Contact form

When you submit the contact or hire me form, your name, email address, and message are emailed directly to me. This data is not stored in any database beyond my email inbox. I do not add form submissions to any mailing list without explicit consent.

Hosting and infrastructure

This site is hosted on a server in the EU. Traffic is served through Cloudflare, which processes request data at the network level for security and performance purposes. Cloudflare's privacy policy governs that processing.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking. WordPress may set a session cookie if you log in to the admin area. That cookie is never present for regular visitors.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to any personal data held about you, and to request its deletion. To do so, contact me at hi@gwillchijioke.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
